Frank Iero Comments On The State Of Today’s Music Scene

Many fans know Frank Iero from his work with My Chemical Romance, and he’s still very active in the music scene touring with his band Frank Iero and The Patience.

Iero has been through the ups and downs of the music industry, and he recently joined the Rock Sound Podcast to talk about the current state of today’s scene.

“I think there’s a widespread fear of taking chances because records aren’t selling, bands aren’t staying around very long because they can’t fucking afford it and labels are pulling their hair out and drawing straws and dumping bands and picking new ones up and trying to see anything that’ll work.

“Yeah, honestly I back anybody that puts their neck on the line and takes a chance. I’m a fan of Milk Teeth, I think they’re a great band and bunch of guys and girl and I think they write some really great songs.”

“Waterparks – I’m not extremely familiar with their music but I met them at Slam Dunk and they were very, very kind and I think that’s awesome. Anybody that’s out there doing it because they love doing it and doesn’t give a s**t what people think – they do it because they have to f**king do it – I back it 100 per cent.”
