Why Brendon Urie Won’t Be Meeting Fans After Kinky Boots Performances Anymore

Brendon Urie has quite the passionate fan following, but fans of Panic! At The Disco haven’t been able to see the band this summer, because Brendon has been busy singing on Broadway.

Urie has been playing Charlie in the musical “Kinky Boots” and so far his run has been a complete success. The production saw a huge jump in ticket sales within the first week, and Brendon has been met by large crowds at the stage door after the show.

It’s common for actors to meet with their fans at the stage door once the performance is over, and the Panic! At The Disco singer drew a huge crowd during opening night in May.

The fans were so excited while they were waiting that they even belted out the lyrics to “This Is Gospel” in the streets.

Unfortunately it looks like some fans took it too far. Zack Cloud Hall took to Twitter to say that fans got out of control, and they’ve decided to end the post-show signings for the remainder of Brendon’s run.

“Tonight extra sucked. I came out beforehand and did my usual blah blah blah. Then Brendon came out and people immediately forgot everything I said. It got so bad at one point Brendon stopped and asked the crowd to please stop yelling at him. As I watched him continue I could see him having a hard time because people weren’t stopping. It got louder and louder and people from the beginning started running to the end and shoving people forward. That’s when I made the call to stop it both for Brendon’s sake and the kids in the front getting shoved into barricades by fully grown adults. I know it sucks that we almost made it to the end of his Broadway run being able to sign, but please know what we have decided is for his mental well being and if you really care about him you will understand that. Brendon will not be signing anymore after shows for the remainder of his Broadway shows.”

Brendon Urie also took to Twitter to say that he loves the fans, but he won’t be doing anymore signings.

Only a few days left before Urie’s run on Broadway comes to an end. So if you want to see him on the stage it would be best to buy tickets ASAP.
