Kevin Lyman recently announced that Warped Tour as we know it will be coming to an end next year. 2018 will be the final year that Warped Tour travels across the country as a full tour, and it almost goes without saying that the announcement broke the hearts of many.
Lyman has said that he hopes to get some of the biggest bands in Warped Tour history to play the final tour, throwing out names such as Avenged Sevenfold and Fall Out Boy, and the fans have one very specific band in mind.
As soon as the announcement was made, fans immediately started calling for a My Chemical Romance reunion for the final Warped Tour show of 2018.
Judging from the amount of retweets that this tweet has received, it’s safe to say people are on board with this idea:
There’s only one way for warped tour to end. That’s with My Chemical Romance reuniting, headlining the last date. As kids spin kick, windmill and start every lawnmower in California, they end on the somber note of “so long and goodnight” as Helena is the dying note of Warped Tour

Some fans have taken this one step further by starting a petition that currently has 5,328 signatures out of 7,500 as of this writing, and it reads as follows:
“My Chemical Romance should reunite & headline the last warped tour to end it on the note of “so long, and goodnight.”
Imagine all the weeping and screaming scene kids and adults.
Imagine all the money Vans Warped Tour could rack in too.
Many voices will be lost for weeks afterwards. Let’s make this happen! Let it be known, this is what the people want! If you’re gonna end warped tour, end it right!!!”
Of course, in the end it’s up to My Chemical Romance in regards to whether or not they will reunite, but signing the petition can’t hurt the chances of it happening, and you can sign by clicking here.
