Fall Out Boy recently announced that they would be performing at the “Stay Amped, A Concert to End Gun Violence” on Friday, March 23 at The Anthem in Washington DC, and the band delivered with their set a few days ago.
During their set Pete Wentz took a little break, and he delivered a heartfelt speech to all of the young people who are trying to make a difference.
“I think that we’re here to listen, we’re here to listen to you. I think this is a youth movement that’s happening right now. But I want you to know that there are adults who want to listen to you, and there are adults who want to care about your voice, and there are adults who care about your safety. I think this is a youth movement, and we just want to the soundtrack to that tonight.”
Luckily Rock Sound captured Pete’s speech and you can check it out below.
