When news of Chester Bennington’s death broke on Thursday, music fans didn’t want to believe it. Many fans sat in disbelief and held out some hope that reports of Chester’s death were nothing more than a hoax, but unfortunately Chester sadly is gone.
Mike Shinoda has shared the stage and a close friendship with Chester for many years now, and earlier today he took to Twitter to confirm that the news is true. Mike commented with only a few words saying that he’s shocked and heartbroken, and he also let the world know that the band will be releasing a full statement later today.
Shocked and heartbroken, but it's true. An official statement will come out as soon as we have one.
