Blink-182 Will Get “More Experimental” On Their Next Album

Last summer Blink-182 released “California” which saw the band go back to their pop punk roots. Blink released the deluxe edition of the album this year, and it features tracks that didn’t make it on the album, some of which were pretty experimental.

It looks like we can expect Blink-182 to push themselves even more next time around, as Mark Hoppus recently told NME that they will be getting experimental on the new album.

“I think this album took Blink back to its roots and what it’s all about, and I think on the next record, we want to push that boundary again. We’ll keep the core of Blink 182 but we’ll get a little more experimental. Kind of like what we did on the untitled record, which we’re all really proud of. It still sounded like Blink and had that Blink feeling, but it was different and a little more thought out.”

Mark also noted that he wants to keep the band’s sense of fun intact, and they expect to get started working on new songs in 2018.
